Five Star Iris = Phenomenonominity!

Tonight I took my sister, brother and Mom to go see Five Star Iris, which is the most amazing band. That sounds like I am completely overrating their talent, but oh no sir, I would NEVER do that! They seriously are one of the best bands EVER! I know I get extremely excited, way above average, but I am definitely not overdoing it when I speak of them. They are incredible sincere guys, and they can put on one hell of a show.

It irritates me that people are missing the chance to see such great talent, in small intimate settings. Five Star Iris has been playing for years in local pubs, bars, and even big venues...but only to moderate crowds. Their energy, enjoyment, talent, and enthusiasm match and surpass the artists performing in arenas and being blasted to death on the radio. Only when they are played on the radio and make a guest appearance on TRL will they get attetion and have the number of fans (although they will probably be 16 year old girls) they deserved. And it will be just late enough to piss me off! I guess it pisses me off that people don't branch out of the mainstream top 40 (mostly) crap they hear on the radio and find unknown underground artists that they also enjoy. Instead of following the rest of the fish in the stream, how about carving out your own path?

So America, I am challenging you to be an individual! Instead of listening and worshiping the mediocre crap that the masses do, explore the music of the unknown. Hit up the great music before the rest of the masses do and then you can sit back with a smirk on your face and say "new music? I have been listening to this for years" when you see them on MTV.

And now that I have got you motivated and pumped up, your first endeavour is to check out Five Star Iris. Hey, if they come to your curve of the river, be sure to visit them and cheer loudly, because they are sure to deserve it!
